Federal Govt. to Form a Parliamentary Committee to end Violence in Balochistan, says CM Bugti

Chief Minister, Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday said that a parliamentary committee would be formed to purposeful on violence and insurgency in Balochistan with an aim to resolve the above-mentioned issue permanently. He said the proposed committee would be tasked to build a consensus plan for the government to deal with the violence and terrorism in Largest Province of Pakistan by Area ,Balochistan and engage those disgruntled elements who wanted to shun violence and live peacefully. While Talking to the media along with provincial ministers, he said the Pakistani institutions would not allow anyone to spread violence for their vested interests. The government, however, was ready to hold peaceful dialogue with the disgruntled people within the Constitutional framework, he categorically said. “The committee will hold talks with the tribal notables and seek their suggestions as to how to improve law and order situation in Balochistan. In case of the failure of such exercise, the government will on its own decide the course of action to root out the menace.” He repeatedly said that the issues being faced by Balochistan could be resolved with negotiations and the Parliament is willing to take lead in the fight against terrorism. However, the civil society, intelligence agencies, thinkers of the Province, tribal leaders and media would also have to play constructive roles for establishing permanent peace in the province. CM Balochistan said that the Federal Home Minister had been tasked to formulate a policy with the help of all law enforcement agencies to secure roads and highways so that the people could travel on them without any fear.
