Pakistan Cricket Board announced Squad for ICC T20 World Cup.

The PCB on Friday finally announced a 15-member squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA and West Indian Islands from 1-29 June.


No Vice Captain has been announced in spite of the heavy speculations about Muhammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi. 

The 15-member squad is a mixture of experience and raw talent with five players including Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub and Usman Khan will play their maiden T20 World Cup while eight members have already represented Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.


Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Muhammad Aamir, Naseem Shah, and youngster All-Rounder Mohammad Abbas Afridi will strengthen the pace-battery while three spinners Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim and Abrar Ahmed has completed the bowling attack. Two part-time off-spinners Iftikhar Ahmed and Saim Ayub are also part of the team.


The squad was announced after a two-hour long deliberation during a meeting of the selection committee comprising Abdul Razaq, Wahab Riaz, Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Gary Kirsten, Bilal Afzal and Mohammad Yousaf.
